Cancer: Thriving and Surviving

Cancer can affect lives in so many ways. If you or a loved one has cancer, our Cancer Thriving and Surviving workshops can help. The workshop teaches coping techniques to help you deal with both the physical and emotional impacts of a cancer diagnosis. We will give you the tools you need to help you through:

  • Frustrations
  • Fatigue
  • Pain
  • Poor sleep
  • Living with uncertainty
  • Communication (both with your family and with medical professionals)
  • Making tough decisions about treatments

How Do the Classes Work?

This workshop meets for six weeks, for two and a half hour each session. Classes are held in community settings, like senior centers, community centers or religious facilities. They are held in a small group setting so you can benefit from the emotional support of meeting others in your community who are living with cancer also.

No cost

There is no cost for the class but donations are always appreciated. They help us bring more classes to more people.
