About the Event:

Dementia Friends Michigan (DFMI) is a one-hour informational session designed to help you understand how to better communicate and support those with dementia. As a dementia friend, you’ll learn how to change the way you think, act and talk about dementia; be a support to friends and family; and contribute to a dementia friendly community.

  • Community organizations
  • Community groups
  • Houses of worship
  • Anyone who wants to build their awareness and learn how to interact with people experiencing dementia in a way that emphasizes effective communication, empathy and support!
