Assistive Equipment Loan
- Provides previously owned equipment including manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes, hospital beds, hospital bed trays, commodes, and transfer benches. May have other DME equipment. Medical Supply Service provides basic medical supplies such as dressings, gauze wrap, tape, saline solution, and colostomy supplies. Agency accepts donated equipment and may pick up the equipment.
- Must have low income and lack insurance to cover these items. First-time recipients must have a referral from a physician, social worker, or other health care professional written on agency letterhead. Orders must be placed 24 hours in advance to ensure availability and items must be picked up at the agency.
- Colostomy supplies: Must have a physician’s referral.
