Utility Assistance
- Michigan Public Service Commission and The Heat and Warmth fund (THAW) provides assistance with heat, electricity, or water bills (if the water is a source of heating the home). Program starts in January and runs until funds are gone.
- Must be a resident of Monroe County. Must have a shut-off notice and approved SER from the Department of Health and Human Services. Must provide proof of residency, income, and number in household. Must meet income guidelines for this program, call for information.
Food Pantry
- Must be a resident of Monroe County. Assistance is limited to once every 30 days up to 6 times a year. Must provide proof of residency and number in household.
