Friendly Callers/Visitors
- Sunshine Calls Program: Volunteers who are cancer survivors provide friendly conversation and empathetic listening with a weekly phone call. Also, provides information about support groups. Visits to homebound individuals are also available. Call for more information. Agency is funded by United Way of Monroe County.
- Must be a resident of Monroe County.
Assistive Equipment Loan
- Durable medical equipment, including walkers, crutches and canes, wheelchairs, bedside commodes and hospital beds, are available for loan. Ostomy, mastectomy, wound care supplies, adult briefs and wigs are also available at no cost. Local sewing club also provides lap robes, comfort pillows, padded blue pads and tracheotomy bibs. Call to check availability and for more information. Agency is funded by United Way of Monroe County.
- Serves residents of Monroe County diagnosed with cancer who are without durable medical equipment insurance or who can’t afford the deductible.
