Transportation
- Service is available Monday-Thursday from 8:30AM-6PM and 8:30AM-4:30PM on Friday. Provides rides for medical appointments, shopping, and errands within the communities of Birmingham, Bingham Farms, Beverly Hills, and Franklin. Provides door-to-door assistance. Van equipped with a wheelchair lift.
- Must be age 55 or older or disabled, and a resident of the Birmingham, Beverly Hills, Franklin and Bingham Farms, or a NEXT member.
Tax Preparation
- Trained and IRS-Certified AARP volunteers offer assistance with federal and state income tax returns on Tuesdays from 9am-3pm during tax season, February through mid-April. Assistance with current and past homestead credits is also available. Call for aid with deferment and hardship.
- Serves low to moderate-income seniors.
Assistive Equipment Loan
- Home Medical Equipment Loan closet has tub benches, transfer benches, wheelchairs, commodes, walkers and canes available for short-term use. Accepts donations of equipment.
- Must be age 50 or older.
