Utility Assistance
- May provide a limited amount of financial assistance for emergency needs such as utility bills, house payments, rent assistance, emergency medical expenses or prescriptions, moving expenses and heating expenses such as heating oil and propane. Assistance limited to $100 per year.
- No age requirement. Must be a resident of Springfield, Rose, Groveland, independence or Holly Townships or White Lake Township north of M-59. Must have a monthly income of $2,000 or less for one person or $2,300 or less for two people. Must have a shut-off notice for utility bill assistance, foreclosure notice for house payment assistance and an eviction notice for rent assistance.
Food Pantries
- Food pantry is open Wednesday from 9AM-12PM. Provides a variety of mainly non-perishable foods including pasta, juices, cereals, meat and bread. Families of one-two people can access the pantry once a month; larger families can access the pantry twice a month. Must show picture identification, social security card and proof of income. No appointment necessary.
