Caregiver Support Group

  • Meets the first and third Wednesday of each month. For caregivers age 50 or older.

Adult Day Center

  • Senex Adult Day Services Program provides respite care for frail older adults. Open Monday-Friday, 9AM -3PM.
  • Must be able to use the restroom without assistance (staff will remind and accompany the client to and from the restroom). Must be continent. Accepts people with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease if non-disruptive, but cannot accommodate wanderers.

Meals on Wheels

  • Must be homebound (unable to leave the home without assistance) as well as 60 and over.


  • Service available Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30. Will provide transportation to medical facilities in Farmington, Farmington Hills, Novi, West Bloomfield, Livonia south to 6 Mile and Southfield east to Greenfield. Also travels to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Beaumont Rehab in Birmingham and St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia. Transports to Kroger’s at 12 Mile/Halsted, 12 Oaks Mall and other shopping locations. Call for more specific information. Provides curb to curb service. Wheelchair accessible vehicle is available upon request. Priority given to medical appointments.
  • Must be a resident of Farmington or Farmington Hills, age 55 or older or handicapped. Call between 8:30-3 for reservations.

Tax Preparation

  • AARP trained volunteers assist with the preparation of federal, state, homestead, and energy credit tax forms. Tax assistance available every Tuesday from 10:30 AM-2:30 PM and Fridays from 9:30-2:30 noon during February, March and prior to April 15.
  • Must be age 60 or older.

Friendly Callers

  • Friendly phone call. Calls are made in the morning Monday-Friday. Administered by the city’s Senior Division.
  • Must be age 50 or older and a resident of Farmington or Farmington Hills.

Home Minor Repair

  • Services include minor repairs and minor plumbing repairs. Service is based on volunteer availability. Administered by the city’s Senior Division.
  • Must be age 60 or older and a resident of Farmington or Farmington Hills. Low income seniors given priority.

Legal Counseling

  • An attorney is available for a 20 minute consultation to assist with legal issues on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 12:30-2:30.
  • Must be age 50 or older.
