Services:

  • Caregiver Support Group. Please call for more information.
  • Adult Day Center (Senex Adult Day Services Program): Provides respite care for frail older adults. Must be able to use the restroom without assistance (staff will remind and accompany the client to and from the restroom). Must be continent. Accepts people with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease if non-disruptive but cannot accommodate wanderers.
  • Meals on Wheels. Must be homebound (unable to leave the home without assistance) as well as 60 and over.
  • Transportation: Will provide transportation to medical facilities and shopping centers. Provides curb to curb service. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available upon request. Must be a resident of Farmington or Farmington Hills, age 55 or older or handicapped. Call for reservations.
  • Tax Preparation: AARP trained volunteers assist with the preparation of federal, state, homestead, and energy credit tax forms. Must be 60 or older.
  • Friendly Callers: Administered by the city’s Senior Division. Must be age 50 or older and a resident of Farmington or Farmington Hills.
  • Home Minor Repair: Services include minor repairs and minor plumbing repairs. Service is based on volunteer availability. Administered by the city’s Senior Division. Must be 60 or older and a resident of Farmington or Farmington Hills. Low-income seniors are given priority.
  • Legal Counseling: An attorney is available for a 20-minute consultation to assist with legal issues. Must be age 50 or older.
