Advocating for seniors is one of the key roles of the Area Agency on Aging 1-B. We work to represent the interests of older adults by educating public officials, consumer advocates and the community about older adult needs. We monitor proposed legislation and polices at the federal, state and local levels, with an emphasis on health, housing, transportation, income supports, consumer protection and long term care. The AAA1b provides leadership to the statewide Silver key coalition, for more information about the work of the Silver Key Coalition, visit www.silverkeycoalition.com
