AAA 1-B Seeks Feedback on FY 2015 Area Implementation Plan

 Plan outlines how federal and state funding for seniors services will be utilized during the 2015 Fiscal Year

Southfield, Michigan (April 24, 2014) – The Area Agency on Aging 1-B (AAA 1-B) is seeking public comment on its Draft Area Implementation Plan (AIP) for the Fiscal Year 2015, which runs from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015. The plan indicates how federal Older Americans Act and state funds will be spent to support community-based services for older adults in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties.

Seniors, family members caring for an older loved one, elected officials, advocates and other interested parties are invited to review and comment on the proposed plan at a public hearing, which will be conducted at the AAA 1-B’s Southfield office on:

The hearing will include a brief overview and highlights of the Fiscal Year 2015 Draft AIP with the majority of the time allotted for public review and comment. Participants are encouraged to review the document in advance and be prepared with comments and questions.
